MyLO offers a complex media library which is shared between Leagues. The Media Library allows Leagues using MyLO to upload files, including PDFs, images (jpgs, pngs, gifs), Word docs, Excel files, PowerPoint files, and more.

You can upload your League's images and files to the Media Library in various ways:

  1. Use "Manage Files" from Administer League Site menu

  2. Use the "Media Library" icon found at the top of any Body text box.

  3. Use the "Browse" or "Attachments"

  4. Use "Main Image" (less common for uploading files to Media Library)

You can use any of these methods to upload your files to the Media Library. The last 3 are easiest when you are uploading that file to be used in that particular spot. For example, use method #3 if you plan on using that freshly uploaded image as the main image of that page. (e.g. The water image on this page is the Main Image). Now let's go over the steps for each method!

Use "Manage Files" from Administer League Site menu

  1. While on your homepage, expand the Administer League Site menu. You'll find this icon above your site menu.
  2. From the drop-down list of options, click Manage Files. This will open the Media Library (this link will take you to Media Library if you are logged in to MyLO).
  3. Click  Add a new file .
  4. Click  Choose File  to search for the file from your computer.
  5. Once you locate the file on your computer, select it, and click Open (or Save) from your computer's file explorer.
  6. The file name will now appear. Click  Next .
  7. Leave the Destination as-is here so that the files remain shared across all MyLO Leagues. Only use the alternative option for highly sensitive materials you are uploading (i.e. member roster with personal info). Click  Next .
  8. Edit file name.
  9. IMAGES ONLY: Edit the focal point of image (optional). If you're following along with the attached PDF, please be aware that the uploaded example image looks like this: .
  10. IMAGES ONLY: Crop the image if necessary.
  11. Add an Alt Text title. This text will be used by screen readers, search engines, and when the image cannot be loaded. By adding Alt Text you improve accessibility and search engine optimization.
  12. Add Title Text to display in the tool tip when a user hovers their mouse over the image. Adding title text makes it easier to understand the context of an image and improves usability.
  13. Add File Description. This will help when searching for this image in the future.
  14. Add Related Issues. These issues will be helpful when searching for related images in the future.
  15. Choose at least one Media Tag. These tags help to categorize the image and make searching easier in the future.
